I very much enjoy the repetition in the Bechers's photographs, especially how the repetition isn't quite exact but varies between objects. They take pictures of many of the same type of thing, and I love that although industrial structures are intended to be all essentially exact replicas of the same model, they vary from one to another. It's clever how the Bechers play with angle and shape, for example documenting the variation in shape from one style of water tower to another. I find it incredible how they must have spent so much time traveling and looking for so many of the same kind of structures, and finding enough to create these compositions made up of so many different images.
